I need help pricing a tricycle in a yard sale...? Its brand new and still in the box with all parts and all instructions. The thing is, when I bought it it came with a scooter and the tricycle. I have taken the scooter our and havent put the tricycle together. It originally cost $30 thats for both in the box. So I was thinking $15 for just the tricycle.
Any thoughts/suggestions?
Wendy B replied: "At a yard sale, I'd price it at $5."
Rachel C. replied: "10 mabye 15 if it is in really good shape"
Speechless replied: "Sounds good to me, but you might do better to put it together when you sell it. Get the kids that show up to "test" it, and you'll have it sold to the first parent who can't resist a whine."
Mr Lizard replied: "$4 - $5, according to yard sale price estimator website I checked."
jezebel_lilly replied: "I wouldn't pay 15 for it,maybe 10.I've found that if you haggle with customers over the price ,you can usually get a fair deal.Mark it at 10 and be prepared to haggle if you want it to sell."
Addie replied: "Starting at $15 sounds good, you might get it. You probably should be prepared to come down to $10 though. I wouldn't go any lower than that."
somebody replied: "no matter what you price it, someone will probably try to haggle. i would say put 15 but accept 10 for it."
'Barn replied: "$10 or $5 dollars. I go to garge sales to get deals."
Does a pedometer measure distance/activity when I use my Trikke three-wheeled scooter? Does a pedometer measure distance/activity when I use my Trikke tri-wheeled scooter?
I'm looking for an inexpensive way to measure my "progress" on my new three wheeled scooter used for fitness. It's upright like a Razor/Trikke...NOT the recumbent or reclining three wheeled adult tricycles. Any suggestions?
Astaroth replied: "A pedometer normally measures footsteps only. it counts each time your foot hits the floor. You would need to use a cycle computer to measure distance and trip information. These are really cheap and can be bought at any good cycle store."
Heimdallen replied: "No, it shouldn't measure distance accurately at ALL. Every pedometer I've seen works on the principle that you set your stride, entering the actual distance you move when taking a step, and then an internal little switch of some sort is activated to measure one step every time you take one, working on the principle that you move up and down slightly when walking, and some sort of little ball moves up and down, hitting the switch with every step and recording the set distance. Since it works this way, it would likely not register distance with any sort of accuracy on any kind of a vehicle. They have odometer type mini-computers you can attach to a bicycle that work on the principle of knowing how far you've traveled when a wheel makes a complete revolution, triggered by a magnet attached the spokes and a magnet attached to the frame. When they pass each other, it records one revolution which you enter as a set distance, thereby recording your distance traveled very accurately. Try a bicycle shop, they should be able to help you! Good luck! =D"

Bob A replied: "You might be able to use a regular bike cyclometer. Get a Schwinn cyclometer from Walmart for $10. Glue the magnet to the front wheel rim and measure the circumference of the wheel, convert it to mm and enter that as the wheel code. If you can get the magnet to pass the sensor with in a few mm it will work."
wle replied: "i doubt a pedometer will do anything useful
they certainly go crazy if you forget and wear on while riding your bike

it's not the V-MOOVE, it's a small children's toy and you sit on it, not stand, more like a car than a scooter.
Cathy V replied: "There's one called V-MOOVE (see link to video). Amazon.com sells one called Slider. Another one is called Tango. I saw a guy going down my street on one the other day. It looked like good exercise."
With the high demand and most people being too lazy to walk would you say driving can be a drag? Would you say walking, taking transit, rollerskates, skateboards, bicycles, tricycles, scooters and/or subways are much more fun? Hey, they are much quicker, especially with the traffic.
Chris D replied: "In the city it's very good to bike around. It's so much easier to drive the car everywhere, but in the end it's much better to ride a bike or walk. Most people can't grasp the idea of what the world would be like without a car so they don't want to try.
The only time I drive my vehicle around town is when I go home (from college) or I have to take people to get a lot of stuff from the store. If I need some chips, I will ride my bike. I can go anywhere in the city in under 20 minutes on my bike. Yearly cost to keep my bike running good is less than $10. So much better than a car. And it also helps me keep in shape."
Jay replied: "I need a vehicle I live 6 miles from the closest town. So i need one to move from place to place. The closest real developed area is about 20 miles out."
bluebrancall replied: "yes it can be a drag, i think cars do make a person lazy, blue"
Brian A replied: "You are right. I am way too lazy to get up a 2 am so that I can walk the 20 miles to work. (And too poor to live any closer.)"
OK, "Japan's new first lady says she rode UFO to Venus." What have You ridden? Me? Trains, Planes, Automobiles, Calf, Donkey, Horse, Camel, Ostrich, Subway, Water Skis, Speedboat, Houseboat, Cruise Liner, Unicycle, Bicycle, Tricycle, Scooter and Skateboard. Spacecraft? Um, not so much. LoL
*Abby Flies With Her Cape!* replied: "Your disco stick.

Think about it replied: "The same UFO, I was with her."

pulling an item behind a scooter I am planning on pulling a stuff frog on a little tricycle with my scooter for parades. but every time I go about 25 feet it falls over. I tried rope and fishing line. Does any one have any ideas how I can pull this little stuff animal on this little plastic tricycle. thanks
Sunny replied: "Have you tried three lines? One to each side and one in the center? Or maybe four lines. One on each side of the handle bars and one on each side of the fromt wheel. Also weight in the back may also help. It would help to see a picture."
yetti replied: "a tricycle might be a little hard to pull...they tip over toward the front so easy....you might consider using a little red wagon or something like that might work a little better...."
Effem Tee2 replied: "Pull it with its front wheel off the ground and it will not tip over.
It's a STUFFED animal; not a STUFF animal."
Jon J replied: "You might also try pulling it with something more elastic like a thick rubber band so that some of the impulse can be mitigated through the stretching of the rubber band rather than a quick jerk on the trike."
I'm seeking an electric scooter or bike, that will travel at least 40 miles a day, and go at least 35 mph. If you know of an exceptional electric scooter or bike, or tricycle, or if you know of a kit to build one, please let me know.. My goal is to build or buy a solar recharging station for this , so please let me know if that is available also... I'm not looking for a toy. I'm 59 years ol, I weigh 185 pounds; I need a high quality , well engineered electric transportation system that is comfortable to ride and will last for many years.
I did find a Vectrix maxi motor scooter on the Net, which seems to be everything I'm asking for. Please, has anyone out there tried it?
nikalikala replied: "ok so i found a scooter electric its called x-560 electric scooter the search on the net for this scooter net store yahoo, its speed is 33mph and it takes the weight of upto 300lbs and the price is only $269."
gy650 replied: "If you eventually conclude that your stipulated expectations are unrealistic for an electric scooter, consider at minimum a 150cc fossil fuel 4-stroke engine. Check your regional Craigslist > for sale > motorcycles for used values. With scooters, the larger the wheels the better they handle. If you can twist a wrench, a "crate" China scooter might be an option. Some research links:"
Good present for my 2 year old son? I want to get him something nice but I have looked online and in the store and still cannot decide on what to get him. He is very active, loves his scooter and tricycle. He loves the water... Maybe an educational toy, but whats good for his age? Any suggestions?
stargirl796 replied: "get him a toddler sized scooter or a tricycle. Also get him a little basketball hoop and a small basket ball."
x_idohair_x replied: "I don't know for sure that have these for 2 year olds but the Leap Frog Series has lots of educational toys that are fun!! He probably won't even know that he's learning!!"
happymommy replied: "what about his very own chair
"
mdscates replied: "My son turned 2 in July...he loves to be outside so we got him some plastic sporting equipment (baseball and bat, golf clubs, Nerf football, soccer ball and basketball). All of this cost about $20-25 total. We go outside and play with one of the sets everyday and he loves it!
He also has a Leap Frog bus that sings songs and goes over the ABC's as letters and with sounds and words. He likes to take it everywhere he goes.
Just remember that he is at the stage that he will have just as much fun opening the paper and playing with the boxes as he will playing with the toys later, so you will not go wrong with anything you are talking about getting him."
What transportation options are available without a drivers license? Scooters, Mopeds, Segways, Twikes, Tricycles...friend lost his license (DUI) and needs to get around, what options are available to him? I see kids zooming around in things, what is the fastest and longest range personal transportation option available for him?
jiejenn0420 replied: "Bike, Bike/Bus, Bus"
demozast replied: "Just about everything needs a license except a bicycle or taxi or bus. Or he could get a friend to haul him around"
big_willey_13 replied: "Depending on the state your in you can try and get a Employee operating permits but im pretty sure that you cant get one if your license was suspended for dui's or dwi's but its worth looking in to. Also depending on state laws for motorized bikes if its under 50cc you dont need a license to operated it and if it has a head light and tail light it should be street legal. Look into your states laws and see what options you may have."
Mr Smart replied: "your left foot and your right foot."
msjerge replied: "ride a bike
take a bus
get a ride from friends"
starrwoode replied: "anything that doesnt need a license, i think top speed is 30 mph but you can go as far as you want at that speed."
PeppermintandPopcorn replied: "Scooters and mopeds are street legal and he needs a license.
Walk, biking and public transportation are his options."
Casey D replied: "roller blades, bicycles, taxi, bus anything that doesn't have a engine."
